Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:

Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

So disappointed. My fiancé brought home 2 Italian sandwiches $20 (way overpriced) after I had wanted to try this place for so long. The meat was tasty. And that's it!! No Italian herbs or seasoning. No vinegar, no oil, no mustard. Nothing but the meat cheese and a couple small tomatoes, lettuce and onion. $20 for this. Even the potato salad was bland. Nothing but chunks of potato, hardly any mayo and no seasoning. Not even salt. Please tell me there is something else on menu worth spending that much $$ on to enjoy. Would like to give another try but doubt as won't spend my money for something a school cafeteria could make better. Disappointing

Food portions were huge however, the bottom of my fiances salad was slimy and brown, and they argued with us and tried to tell us that it was caused by knife cuts (Ironically my fiancé is a chef so he knew that wasn't true) but either way they still shouldn't argue with us, then didn't want to bring us a new salad. They bought us a handful of lettuce and wanted us to pick the good stuff out of it. Then my sandwich tasted like beer....I don't know if it was something old or what but the food just wasn't good and the customer service wasn't much better. Also, they forgot to bring us one thing that we ordered but at least they didn't try to charge us for it.

Ordered two Italian style subs. The meat and cheese was great but everything else was tasteless. The bread was not fresh. The veggies were Fresh but boring onion lettuce and tomatoes. How about some Italian dressing, Italian peppers fresh bread? Way better sub at the base commissary for less than half the cost. Will not be coming back.

Different kind of place in a Good Way! Outdoor Patio with umbrella tables! Serves Alcohol. Big portions for what you pay for, reasonable food prices. Alcohol a little more expensive. Deli sandwiches, burgers, cheesesteaks and salads. I haven't tried the salads, the cheese steaks are good, but I've had better (seems the grilles that find the perfect bun/bread is what puts a cheese steak over the top, that is probably the only place their cheese steak falls short a little), the Deli Sandwiches and Burgers are GREAT and you get a lot more than most places that charge more! Clean, quiet, but small. Has a combination counter/bar with tables indoor and outdoor. I plan to go back!

I ate there when they opened and it was the normal "greasy spoon" food. I had a Reuben Sandwich and there was so much grease it was dripping down my elbows. So, today I gave it another try. Got the gyro-beef/lamb. The strips of meat were micro thin cut pieces like they sell at the grocery store. The tzatziki sauce was just sour cream 99% and a couple of random pieces of cucumber. The pita was just cold out of the fridge and tough. Their chips are soggy with grease and at that the grease tasted old. Go to Nikos if you want a decent gyro. Not going back here ever and going to tell everyone else to save their money.

Been here twice now and great food both times. Wait staff and Bartenders were awesome too. Refreshing to find a little place like this!

To begin with, I know that they've only recently opened so I'll cut them some slack for that. Placing an order was easy, despite the HUGE menu. There are a lot of different dishes offered for a decent price (comparable to other local non-chain restaurants). I ordered the crab melt with sweet potato fries, and mozarella sticks to go. It took about 10-15 minutes for my food to come out, and while I waited I sat at a table and watched the Food Network on the large TV they have in the corner. The noise level was decent, despite it being half-full at that time. My table was dirty, along with a few others, but I'll chalk that up to having come in right after the normal lunch rush. The food was alright. I had high expectations for the crab melt, so that was a disappointment (it was a pile of crab meat without flavoring/spices on an untoasted slice of white bread with a handful of melted cheese over top, and another handful of bacon). It was difficult to eat, as it was an open-faced sandwich, and the temperature wasn't consistent throughout -- part of it was warm from the melted cheese, but the bottom of the bread was cold in the center. I didn't finish it. The sweet potato fries were alright. There wasn't much flavoring to them, either, and when I got home I added a honey mustard dressing that I happened to have. They tasted better then. The mozarella sticks were good, and you get a fairly large portion of them. The marinara dipping sauce was also very good. I'll probably go back and try them again in the hopes that this was a fluke or something from just starting up. They do have a huge variety of foods, ranging from appetizers to hot sandwiches to salads and wraps, along with a selection of desserts and beers to choose from.

Stopped here today and found the Nirvana of Cheesesteaks...at least for Southern Maryland. The Cheesesteak prices were comparable to Jerry's but you get more meat on them here. I tried the Pizzasteak and besides being the only place around here that even knows what a Pizzasteak is, it was very tasty and just as good as those I have eaten in Philly. They also use authentic Amoroso rolls for their steaks and subs. The prices might seem a little steep at first but when you consider the price of beef now and the fact that they use quality ingredients, like Boar's Head brand meats for their Hoagies that are sliced on premises, they are actually fairly reasonable. If you want a $5 footlong sub with meats that were sliced months earlier in Timbuktu and vacuum packed in bags then go to Subway. I paid the extra 1.50 to add fries to my Pizzasteak and it came with a huge pile of fries that I shared with my two kids and wife. My wife got the clam chowder and Caesar Salad; the clam chowder was VERY good and the HUGE salad was a meal in itself (we shared it between three of us). While we were there the table next to us got the fried oyster sliders and they looked AWESOME. They also have a good selection of homemade desserts like brownies, cheesecake, cannoli, Oreo mousse pie, etc. I also never understand the reviewers that complain a menu is too big. Yes they have a large selection but they do not rush you so take your time and pick something new....you might be pleasantly surprised. They also have a selection of daily specials which included grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos for $14 the day we were there. We will definitely be back.

It's about time this area got a new non-chain restaurant. Days Off does some pretty good whiz cheesesteaks (I even got bacon!), but my gripe is with the packaging: If you get a pickle (I didn't know you got a pickle) with your meal, the juice gets all over everything else. For someone who hates pickles (like me), that's disgusting. Second, the cheesesteak is great - but it's a giant mess. The minute you pick up the sandwich, it begins to fall apart. Ideally, you should wrap it in paper/wax paper/foil to keep it together. Really not a bad joint at all, but let's figure out how to get those cheesesteaks home safely, eh? Note: If this were located in a bigger metro area, I'd really give this place 3 or 3.5 stars until they figure out how to better package food. But compared to the competition in the area, they get a firm 4.

This place should really learn how to treat their customers. If I order a plain steak and cheese quesadilla and a plain chicken and cheese quesadilla, and ask when I order it what comes on it, and I am told meat and cheese, that is what I expect. That's why I asked. So therefore, when I bring it back to you because there are onions on it, you should accept it gracefully because after all, I am the one who was inconvenienced in this situation. However, that is not the case in this establishment. Here, they re-make your steak quesadilla, then proceed to use their bare hands to open your chicken one and tell you there are no onions on it. Then roll their eyes at you when you say you don't want the one she just put her hands in. I wouldn't have even given the one star, but it doesn't allow me to leave it blank. Never again will giving them my money be an option.

I've been here twice now and both times were great. The staff is super friendly and menu is extensive. During my visit, I had the Philly Cheesesteak which was to die for. Today I had the turkey club on the recommendation of the girl at the register. She told me it was her favorite. It's now my favorite too. Holy cow it was good.

After trying an underwhelming philly cheese steak at this location a few months ago, I decided to try my preferred sandwich. Service was friendly and fast. Thoroughly enjoyed my chicken philly. For the record, my husband enjoyed the cheese steak(from previous visit) and today's chicken philly. Sweet potato fries had good flavor but were soggy and greasy. Will be back for more chicken phillies.

Let's see i don't think anything i have ordered didn't come out of a box. Sysco food co. Is getting a lot of money from these folks. Pricing would not be bad if it wasn't for the poor food quality. Do yourself a favor Spend your money elsewhere!!!!!

Not a bad place. The ambiance was pretty cool as they were decked out for Halloween. The staff was awesome and their selection of steaks and regular sandwiches are pretty extensive. The bread comes from Amoroso's in Philly, which, IMHO, makes or breaks a Philly Cheese Steak. The steaks themselves were fantastic! I felt like I got a steak fresh from South Street in Philly. They were absolutely perfect in every way. The only negatives were the Macaroni salad; it was too tart...like there was way too much vinegar in it. The sweet potato fries were also underdone and limp...but I did carry out. I'm sure they would have been better if eaten there instead of after a ten minute ride home. All in all, I'm sure I will be back if only for a good Cheese Steak and to try some of their other sides.

I scheduled a last minute Christmas party and had Days Off provide the meat and cheese platters. It was the best idea I ever had. The trays were enormous - extremely generous quantities of very fresh meats and cheeses all beautifully arranged on good quality trays. I can't recommend this place enough.

The food was fine but the prices were too high. I got the Philly cheese steak for lunch. I was impressed that they carried cheese whiz as an authentic cheese to the sandwich. All-in-all it was a good sandwich but it was a bit pricey. A sandwich plus fries plus a drink was just over $12...that's a little steep for lunch sandwich. There are competitors in the area that have comparable sandwiches cheaper. The staff was nice. Ambiance was fine. Speed of service was fine. All of it was "nothing to write home about". They did have lots of options so if it's variety you're looking for, then try it out.

The first time I tried this place, I was extremely impressed. I'm an 'atmosphere eater', meaning that if the atmosphere is great, I usually enjoy the food a lot more - even if it's lesser quality. The first time I ate here I got a sandwich (I forgot which kind), and ate it in the restaurant, sitting at one of their stools, staring out the window at traffic - which made for a decent, quaint little lunch. I enjoyed myself. The second time I came in, I got the Maryland Crab, which the special. I also got a bottled root beer, if memory serves. She told me the total, and when it was around $10, I realized something was fishy. The first time I ate there, I noticed it was a little pricey also, but figured it was maybe the sandwich I ordered; turns out that's not the case. They're just overpriced. The soup was very, very good, but not worth $10. The third (and final) time I went here was around 11AM to grab a lunch to take out on the boat with my Dad, as were going fishing and wanted something in an easy container we could eat as soon as we launched the boat. We both ordered a torpedo type sub, which is an Italian sub with all the salty meats like salami. Usually my Dad and I both love this type of sub, and were expecting the same. We got the boat launched, and opened up our sandwich containers rather quickly (it had only been about 10 minutes between sandwich purchase and the opening of the container) as we were both hungry. The sandwiches were HUGE. So large that we couldn't even fold them in half in order to take a bite! The salami on both our sandwiches had that shiny rainbow look to it, like meat does when it's going bad. We took the salami off, and took a few bites of our respective sandwiches, and that was about it. They were so bad we ended up eating the snacks we bought at the gas station, and using some of the meat as bait for the fish we were trying to catch. While the atmosphere is pretty cool, and the service is nice, the food is overpriced and not very good. They have a few menu items that are quite good, but those too are overpriced. Their menu is far too big, and I feel if they reduced their menu size, and focused on 15-20 different items, those items would be better, and they could lower costs a little. I probably won't be going back to Day's Off, unless it's for their soup - which is pretty good. ****I'm using three dollar signs below, even though it's not $31/person, but considering it's a deli, it shouldn't cost you $12 for a sandwich and a drink****

  • Jonas S.

We got cold deli sandwiches both with turkey, roast beef, cheddar cheese let/tom/onion on white and the other on sourdough (they forgot the onion). We didn't (and should have) asked for SOME kind of sauce on it-but was good in its own right. Ingredients were fresh-chips included we BLAH,.. Should paid $1.25 for the flavored bag chips... I would say that the should number the menu for ease of ordering-maybe something fun like naming them(?) This is not Panera,...but is mom&pop deli type sammiches!

  • Jen B.

Over priced and not worth the trip. We were so excited to give this place a try. Boy were we wrong. Cheesee steak meat wad flavorless, and nachos were less than average. Staff was great ,but we won't be going back anytime soon. Unless you're in a serious pinch I wouldn't waste my time.
